We have recently been introduced to the work of Spacetwo Garden Rooms. Spacetwo entered the garden room market in 2015, bringing with them 15 years of experience in the construction industry.
The Spacetwo team have joined forces with German wooden house builders Chiemgauer Holzhaus to supply garden rooms that are built using solid wood logs. The logs come from high altitude grown and winter felled spruce from the Bavarian / Austrian Alps. This wood is chosen because of its resistance to twisting and cracking. It also has a long lifespan of 50 plus years.
These logs then interlock to just like a traditional log house. Spacetwo don’t offer a standard range of sizes or layouts. They approach each project on its own merits and tailor their building system and design to the clients needs.
If you are looking for a more modern garden room, Spacetwo also offer contemporary style garden rooms. For these buildings they build on a traditional wooden framework which has wood fibre insulation in-between. The exterior is cladded in vertical boards in a range of profile choices.
All Spacetwo garden rooms come with the foundation system. High spec aluminium doors and windows are used. When it comes to the roof covering you can choose from the popular EPDM, a living roof or steel roofing. All rooms are fully wired electrically.
Lead times on Spacetwo garden rooms is around 12 weeks, with onsite build times roughly 7 to 14 days.
As we said earlier Spacetwo don’t offer standard sizes or ranges, but for an idea of price a 3m x 3m solid log constructed garden room with EPDM roofing and electrically wired will cost you around £15,000.
