Garden Room Masters are a fairly new name to the market, although the team behind it are not totally new to the concept, having built many buildings a few years ago with another company.
Barry and Chris the duo behind Garden Room Masters are both product designers bringing a combined 40 years of design and engineering experience to the market. They themselves work from a garden office so know about the design and build process from both the client and designers perspective.
Garden Room Masters specialise in bespoke design. Their website has lots of detailed CGI renderings of garden rooms to inspire you, but ultimately these are just a starting point, and each garden room will be tailored to their client’s specific needs and tastes.
Take a look at this multi-use garden room they designed. Tony and Sue, their clients, had visited local garden centres and searched the internet but didn’t find a building that fitted their specific needs. They assumed that bespoke design would be beyond their budget – until they spoke with Garden Room Masters.
Tony & Sue wanted to create a building that had three distinct uses under the one roof. They wanted to create a room that would be comfortable to use all year round and a space that had good natural light. As well as creating a home office they also wanted a bike store/workshop, and a hidden garden shed.
Following listening to their brief and talking through their likes and dislikes. The Garden Room Masters team created a 25 sqm building which they divided into three zones. The main room with bi-fold doors along the front elevation forms the home office space. Noting the request for lots of natural light three skylights were installed in the roof.
The area to the right of the office has been divided into two. The front section which is accessed via double doors which have been matched with the wall cladding, lead to the bike store and workshop area. Behind this sits a hidden garden store.
A similar building would start at around £25,500 which is very reasonable for a building of this size, that can be tailored to your specific needs.
Tony & Sue had this to say about the project:
“We had assumed a bespoke build would be out of our price range & very disruptive, but after we spent some time with Garden Room Masters sharing what we liked, what we didn’t like & listening to their advice, they came back with an idea we loved, a timescale that fit with our plans & all within budget. It was brilliant to see it go from some doodles on a pad to a rendered 3D model then actually being installed step by step. The team were friendly, tidy & respectful. Even Buddy our dog was spoiled by the guys when they were onsite. The result is that we’ve now got an amazing space to work in the garden, a room to fix bikes and somewhere to hide the lawn mower and other garden stuff”
