Many garden room companies will handle the whole project from you from the installation of the foundation right through to the final clean-up. GRL – Garden Room Living is one such company who handles the whole project for their client, so they can sit back and watch their new room take shape.
GRL – Garden Room Living was recently commissioned to design and build a 5 meter wide by 3-meter deep garden room for use as a home office.
The customer planned to house several bookcases full of books in their office, so asked for a traditional concrete base to be installed rather than opt for one of the modern pad foundation systems, which have become popular. The customer felt that a concrete base would support the weight of the books better in the long run. As bespoke garden room designers, the GRL team were happy to work with the customer’s preferences and handled the installation of the concrete slab as part of their overall project.
We like how the customer has opted to use two sets of sliding doors on the front elevation rather than one large set. These doors combined with a narrow window on the side wall will flood the room with natural light and create a great connection with the established garden.
The dark grey frames of the doors and windows contrast sharply with the Cedar cladding. Exterior wall lights have been fitted between the doors which will create a useful light along the path in front of the room.
The GRL – Garden Room Living team handled the whole project right through to the site clean-up, just leaving the customer to finish off the path leading to the room.
