We have published hundreds of garden room articles this year and several thousand images, and we thought it would be interesting to see what the most read articles of the year were!
In this four part round up we will take a look back at each months most read article, and see if there are any patterns, lets start with:
The most read article in January 2013 was about a contemporary granny annexe built by Roomworks.
Roomworks designed and built the annexe for their clients elderly parents and it comprised of a living room, double bedroom with ensuite shower room and a kitchen. The overall size of the building is 8.7m x 4.5m with an extra 500mm roof overhang.
To help the annexe blend into its surroundings Roomworks added a living roof covering.
Readers must have been feeling budget conscious in February because our most read article was about the launch of The Stealth range of budget garden rooms from Sanctum Garden Studios.
The most popular read in March was another granny annexe build, this time by Booths Garden Studios. The use for multi room garden rooms as Granny Annexes has really taken off in 2013!
Booths client wanted independent living space for her elderly father, replacing an old garage with a modern building that Booths helped to adapt to her needs with wider doors, low thresholds and ramps.
This article is particularly informative as it includes an number of videos talking about key aspects of choosing and building a granny annexe in the garden, take a look here, or contact Booths Garden Studios directly.
In the next part of this review we will look at what was popular in April, May & June, as a taster it will include the best garden rooms under £12k, discussion on treating cedar cladding and a garden room retreat!
