Meadow Flower Living Roof

A couple of days ago I wondered if garden room designers would be inspired by the lavender living roof in the ‘A Monaco Garden’ by Sarah Eberle at this year’s Chelsea Flower Show, in response Paul Barton of Roomworks sent over this photo of a living roof on his show building.

Although not planted with lavender, which gives the roof in the Chelsea garden an intense purple hue and contrasts well with the reddish brown of the cladding, the Roomworks roof planted with meadow flowers  contrasts equally well with the crisp cedar cladding and the height of the meadow flowers gives the same 3D effect as the lavender does.

This meadow roof not only looks great but is a haven for bees and butterflies, and we are pleased to report garden rooms with living rooms are popping up everywhere – Roomworks are even working on putting one on a roof in Covent Garden!

So, if you are interested in a meadow flower living roof or even a lavender one give Roomworks a call on 0115 9845618 or visit their website.
