Fully insulated garden rooms make perfect home gyms, a great place to work out all year round, and this recent build by Roomworks is a great example.
Roomworks are specialists in bespoke design and this build was totally tailored to the client’s site, needs and tastes.
When designing a home gym you need to think about headroom when you are on the treadmill, cross trainer etc and this was certainly a consideration for Roomworks. Because of where the gym was being located, close to the gardens boundaries it would have been less than 2.5m high to comply with planning permission – this would not offer enough headroom for the gym which Roomworks worked out needed to be 3m, so planning permission had to be applied for and was duly approved.
Roomworks tailored the design further by designing the unique door and window configuration to allow for easy ventilation of the gym, another important design consideration for home gyms. The door and window system was manufactured in Scandinavia using timber from a
sustainable source, manufactured to Roomworks design/specification, painted in Roomworks house RAL colour and shipped in 3 weeks, Paul Barton from Roomworks reports the quality of the product is world class!
