We have just launched the latest issue of Garden Rooms Magazine!
In this issue we look at how the latest elements of garden architecture are already being implemented in garden room design.
We also examine the new wave of garden room extensions. Traditionally a garden room is an extension attached to the house, they tend to be very traditional in design, and whilst this sort of garden room remains very popular, there is a new wave of garden room extension coming through – the contemporary design, so called ‘flat pack extension’. This type of garden room extension offers many benefits, from speed of construction, thermal performance and cost effectiveness.
Finally we compare different types of garden room construction. The terms ‘timber frame construction’ and ‘Structural Insulated Panels’ are widely used in the garden room industry, but they don’t relate to a benchmark that allows you to compare one supplier exactly with another, as one suppliers SIP’s construction can be a very different beast to another, we have created a visual guide for you to identify what you are reading in specification lists.
