Timeless Garden Rooms are experienced in creating self-contained living annexes designed around the needs of an older relative. However, their versatile buildings can also be customised to meet the requirements of a younger relative, as showcased in this student den project.
Previously, we featured a two-bedroom granny annexe by Timeless Garden Rooms that provided a home for an older family member. This project, however, has been designed specifically for a younger relative. The family wanted to create a private space for their university student son, where he could both study and entertain friends.
Example of the Timeless Garden Rooms Studio Range
The family chose a mono-pitch building from the Timeless Garden Rooms Studio Range. This range offers a more contemporary aesthetic compared to the pitched roof garden rooms that Timeless Garden Rooms are often known for.
The Studio Range typically includes feather-edge Larch cladding and aluminium bi-fold doors as standard. However, customers have the flexibility to personalise the finishes to suit their own tastes. For example, in this project, the family opted for sliding doors instead of bi-folds and added a long window and a casement window to the design.
Partition Walls Create Three Rooms
The client chose a 6-metre-wide by 3.5-metre-deep building, which was cleverly divided to create three distinct spaces: two living areas and a shower room.
As part of the comprehensive service, the Timeless Garden Rooms team handled all the groundworks, including connecting the electrics and plumbing to the mains supply.
They also completed the internal decoration, including laying a laminate floor. As you can see, the result is a light, modern living space.
