Crusoe Garden Rooms offers the Fusion concept, an innovative take on their signature handcrafted garden rooms. The Fusion design achieves a blend of high-quality cedar cladding at the front and sides with exterior-grade plyboard on parts of the sides and rear, maintaining the durability and aesthetic appeal of a fully cedar-clad room at a more affordable price.
A Cost-Effective Approach without Compromising on Quality
Trevor Naylor, Director of Crusoe Garden Rooms Limited, explains the inspiration behind the concept:
With the rising costs of building materials, particularly timber like Western red cedar, we saw the opportunity to offer a high-quality garden room at a reduced cost. This approach allows us to pass savings along to customers without compromising the look or feel of the space.”
The Fusion concept achieves approximately a 10% reduction in cost by replacing some of the cedar cladding with painted exterior-grade ply panels, alongside a refined fascia in place of the typical front overhang. This combination preserves the quality and appearance expected from Crusoe while adding affordability to the range.
Colour and Design Flexibility to Match Any Space
The exterior-grade plyboard used in the Fusion concept is available in natural, anthracite grey, black, white, and other custom colours, allowing customers to choose a finish that complements their outdoor setting. Additionally, the cedar cladding can be arranged either horizontally or vertically, giving each Fusion garden room a personalised look. Crusoe’s designs remain fully customisable, ensuring each build is tailored to your specific needs and style preferences.
Fusion Compatibility with All Crusoe Models
One of the Fusion Concept’s strengths is its adaptability across all Crusoe models, allowing for options like bifold or sliding doors and flexible window placements. These garden rooms are fully insulated, with finished interiors that are plastered and painted, ensuring year-round comfort.
