The Crusoe Fusion concept is showcasing the same quality handcrafted timber framed buildings as always from Crusoe but with exterior walls made up of a combination of cedar cladding to the front and part of the sides and exterior grade plyboard to part of the sides and rear elevation.
Cladding the garden room partially in cedar and partially in exterior grade plyboard means there are no compromises in longevity or aesthetically - Crusoe wanted to create a range that is more affordable whilst maintaining their usual quality and design
Co-director of Crusoe Garden Rooms Limited Trevor Naylor explains:
'Due to the massive increase in the price of building materials, particularly timber and especially Western red cedar, we have designed a new style of garden room that still has the quality of our existing range but reduces the cost dramatically making them a more affordable building.
Based on our existing range which are entirely cedar clad and still very popular, with the Fusion concept we have replaced the rear and most of the side cedar cladding with painted exterior grade ply panels. The front overhang has been replaced with a very nicely proportioned fascia which has also had a positive impact on the cost of the building. Adding yet another element to our range at Crusoe.
With the new Fusion concept we have been able to reduce the overall cost of each of our range by 10% which we are delighted to be able to offer to our clients going forwards.'
The exterior grade plyboard can be finished in natural, anthracite grey, black, white as standard, or choose from a range of colours to suit your environment. The cedar cladding can be either horizontal or vertical. As always Crusoe Garden Rooms Limited will tailor the building to your exact requirements.
The beautiful contrast between the cedar cladding and the block colour of the painted plyboard can be seen in the two images above. I am sure you will agree that you will definitely be making a statement in your garden!
The new Fusion concept can be applied to all of Crusoe’s existing models, so you are able to have a garden room with bifolding doors, sliding doors, whatever you wish. See www.crusoegardenrooms.co.uk for details.
Fully insulated and internally boarded, plastered and painted, these garden rooms make for an ideal addition to your home. Cool in the summer and warm in the winter they can be used all year round whether as a home office, music or art studio, kids playroom or gym.
