Example of the Crusoe Deluxe Garden Room
The original garden room was a version of the Crusoe Deluxe range. The Crusoe Deluxe sits on a footprint of 8m x 4m. A key feature of this range is the five-leaf set of Aluminium bi-fold doors. These doors effortlessly slide to one side creating free-flowing movement between the indoor and outdoor spaces.
Rather than have the doors positioned in the centre of the front elevation, Crusoe Garden Rooms Limited's clients chose to have the bifold doors offset to one side. This allowed for a partition wall to be built with an internal door, creating a 2m wide home office alongside the main family space.
Inside, the Crusoe Deluxe has a wonderfully light feel, thanks to the bi-fold doors and the mix of tall windows on the front and side walls and the rectangular windows positioned high in the rear wall.
Crusoe Garden Rooms Limited finish each of their buildings with a plastered and decorated finish, creating a room like a newly built house. Durable laminate flooring completes the modern look.
A full electrics package comes as standard with the Crusoe Deluxe. The specification includes:
- Twelve internal downlights
- Six double sockets
- Six external downlights in the roof canopy and two up/down wall lights.
- Dedicated consumer unit
- Final electrical connection between the garden room and house
When it came to commissioning their second garden room Crusoe’s clients opted for virtually the same specification. The only notable difference is the addition of a single-glazed door in the office area. This addition means the office can be accessed from inside via the main room or through its own external access.
As standard, Crusoe Garden Rooms Limited finish the exterior of the buildings with Western Red Cedar. As these photos show, the reddish brown tones of this timber blend with the natural green shades of the garden. Western Red Cedar is a highly durable timber that offers a long maintenance-free lifespan.
