Since Crusoe Garden Rooms Limited was established back in 2013, we have built many music studios throughout the UK.
As a musician, band member and recording artist myself, with publishing and recording deals (in a previous life!), it is not surprising that as a company we have gravitated towards, and built a strong reputation for, creating affordable soundproofed home recording and music studios.
Whether a full-blown professional home recording studio set-up with a high level of soundproofing and acoustic specification, or a practice and teaching room with a good level of acoustic and sound block insulation, we can offer expert advice to ensure your needs are completely met.

Our team has a wealth of experience in building garden rooms, and alongside this we have also built long-standing relationships with professional companies offering all the extras your studio may require.
All of our buildings are bespoke and constructed from raw materials on-site. A typical studio build will normally take around ten to fourteen days to complete, depending on the size and your requirements.
We include an electrical connection to your supply, with lighting and sockets installed where required.
Crusoe Garden Rooms has had the pleasure of building for many talented musicians, producers, schools and colleges, care homes and government-financed projects, as well as songwriters and home recording artists over the years—including several chart-topping band members.

Built for Performance
Due to the selection and type of materials used—a combination that we have developed and refined since starting our company back in 2013—we can create a perfectly adapted soundproofed building.
For example, we often use cedar cladding on the exterior to give a long-lasting, beautiful finish, with its own built-in preservative qualities. Our buildings typically feature a minimum wall thickness of 120mm, with a 100mm sound-deadening insulating quilt between timber stud walls, finished internally with a layer of Tech Sound 100 rubber membrane and 12mm sound block plasterboard.
Being both a musician and a full-time carpenter and project manager has proved invaluable in understanding the needs of our customers—particularly musicians, studio engineers and producers who require specific builds to accommodate their equipment and workflow.

Flexible Spaces for Creative Use
We have also worked with clients to create film and video editing suites, as well as dedicated home cinemas and music studios, with provisions for a range of additional features including electric blinds, drop-down screens and projectors, integrated lighting and speaker systems.

Air conditioning, off-grid solar panels and living roof installations have all featured in some of our builds.
