A vision for a multi-functional family space
A TV Producer and Teacher couple approached Swift Unlimited seeking an attractive, low-maintenance garden room that the whole family could enjoy throughout the year, no matter the weather. After reaching out in early September, the couple were invited to view one of Swift Unlimited’s completed builds nearby. A fellow Swift Unlimited client graciously allowed the couple to visit their garden room, just a few miles from the couple’s Surrey home. They were thoroughly impressed by the quality, design, and craftsmanship.
A dedicated dance studio with future flexibility
The most important aspect of their new garden room was the mini dance studio. Their young daughter, with a passion for dance, needed a dedicated space to express herself. The separation from the main house and the privacy of the studio meant she could dance uninterrupted, while her parents could relax, knowing she was close and safe-along with those precious heirlooms!
As with many clients, they also planned for the future. The versatile space could evolve into a study area, teen hangout, guest room, or even a larger dance studio as their family’s needs changed.
Thoughtful design meets practical features
The garden’s ample size allowed for a design that met all their requirements. The new build featured a family relaxation area with underfloor heating to keep the space cosy year-round. A five-metre wall of bi-folding doors brought in natural light and opened the building fully during warmer months, connecting the interior with the outdoors.
To achieve the desired aesthetic with minimal maintenance, the couple opted for premium composite cladding, a durable yet stylish solution. The generous 8 x 3.5-metre space was enhanced further with a large storage area, perfect for keeping bikes and equipment neatly tucked away.
