When designing and building a garden room, one of your first decisions is which construction system you will use for the core structure. The traditional options are insulated timber frames and structural insulated panels (SIP's). There is, however, another option, a light gauge steel frame.
Steel frame garden rooms are growing in popularity as an alternative to timber frame options. Steel frames can be insulated in the same way as timber frames, with the insulation slotting in between the studs.
Garden room designers like them as they are lightweight to transport and manoeuvre, incredibly quick to install on-site, and do not require the skills of a skilled carpenter. Unlike timber frames, they are not susceptible to rot or warping.
Because steel frames for garden rooms are pre-engineered in a factory and delivered to the site in manageable sections and then quick to install, they are an excellent choice for a self-builder.
Titan Steel Buildings can engineer a steel frame for your garden room and deliver it to you in panels. You can send them your design, and they will work with you to create the steel structure, which is then precision cut using their CNC machinery.
There is a form at the bottom of this page on the Titan Steel Buildings website where you can submit the dimensions and requirements for your building, and they will come back to you with information.
