Sliding Doors Now Available on Sanctum Garden Studios’ Hampton Range

The Hampton range by Sanctum Garden Studios has long been one of the most popular pre-designed garden room collections. Offered in three widths — 2.4m, 3m, and 3.6m — each Hampton has a depth of 2.4m, creating a compact, space-efficient footprint suited to many gardens. These buildings can typically be installed in just a day, giving buyers a quick route to a well-specified, year-round garden room without the longer timescales associated with bespoke design work.
Despite being a standardised range, Sanctum Garden Studios still offer options to personalise finishes and glazing choices. A key part of the original design is the fully glazed front elevation, formed of an outward-opening door and two fixed full-height glazed panels. Buyers can choose whether the door sits in the centre or to one side of the front wall.
A New Option: Sliding Doors for the Hampton Range
Sanctum Garden Studios have recently introduced a new option that replaces the standard door and side panels with a sliding door set. This upgrade is priced at £795, giving Hampton buyers an affordable way to tailor the building while also addressing a practical consideration: outward-opening doors need space to swing clear, which can be restrictive on narrower patios, near boundaries, or when placing garden furniture close to the building.
Sliding doors, by contrast, move neatly within their track, avoiding the requirement for clearance and helping maintain the clean, contemporary look the Hampton range is known for.
Sliding Door Layouts by Hampton Size
The sliding system has been adapted to suit the widths available in the range:
- 2.4m and 3m Hamptons: two panes of glass, with one of the panels sliding
- 3.6m Hampton: three smaller panes of glass, with one of the panels sliding
This ensures each size retains a balanced front elevation while benefiting from the cleaner lines and easy operation of a sliding system.
Designed for Permitted Development
All models in the Hampton range have been designed to comply with the 2.5m height allowance for outbuildings built under Permitted Development rules, making them a strong option for buyers who want to avoid the need for a planning application. Combined with the 2.4m depth and choice of widths, the Hampton’s proportions make it a compact, garden-friendly addition suitable for a wide range of uses.
