Garden Room Completes Feng Shui Design

Garden Room Completes Feng Shui Design

Integrating a garden room into a Feng Shui-inspired landscape can greatly enhance the flow of positive energy, creating a quiet outdoor environment perfect for relaxation and rejuvenation. One fine example is a 5.5m x 3.5m garden room by Executive Garden Rooms, thoughtfully designed to harmonise with the principles of Feng Shui.

The striking black external finishes of this garden room blend seamlessly with the Japanese-style garden theme. Thoughtful material choices highlight the five elements central to Feng Shui: wood, fire, earth, metal, and water. This design features timber finishes, metal door and window frames, and a decorative rain chain—a charming alternative to traditional downpipes. The rain chain transforms roof runoff into an elegant water feature, aligning with Japanese design aesthetics.

Creating a Space for Mindful Relaxation

A well-placed garden room enhances any Feng Shui garden, offering a dedicated space for meditation, reflection, or simply appreciating the surrounding natural beauty. The peaceful setting invites moments of mindfulness and deep connection with the outdoors.

Seamless Indoor-Outdoor Flow

High-spec aluminium bi-fold doors span the front elevation, offering an easy transition between indoor and outdoor living areas. A tall window on the left-hand side frames attractive views of the garden, while a high letterbox-style window at the rear improves ventilation letting in fresh air easily.

To maintain privacy and practicality, the doors and windows are fitted with integral blinds. These blinds are cleverly installed within the glazing, keeping them dust-free and unobtrusive.

Quality Materials and Craftsmanship

The powder-coated aluminium door and window frames are finished in black, complementing the black-painted Western Red Cedar cladding on the building’s front and side walls. Western Red Cedar is beloved as it is naturally resistant to rot and fungal decay. The remaining elevations are clad in Cedral, a durable, maintenance-free cement fibre board. Cedral comes pre-coloured in a range of finishes; here, the clients opted for black.

High-Spec Interior Finishes

Inside, Executive Garden Rooms maintain their reputation for quality craftmanship. The interior features plastered and decorated walls and ceiling, and durable wooden flooring. An extensive electrical package includes LED recessed downlights (both indoors and outdoors), a smoke alarm, external security lighting, a hard-wired WiFi connection, and multiple power sockets. To ensure a hassle-free experience, Executive Garden Rooms also manage the final electrical connection between the garden room and the main house.

Customer Testimonial

From start to finish, our experience with Executive Garden Rooms has been exceptional. The design and construction process, including bespoke modifications, was both efficient and punctual. The garden room, built from scratch on site, is of outstanding quality, superbly insulated, and beautifully finished. It has been a pleasure to work with EGR."
