A garden room can be an excellent workplace for content creators. As this project shows, Vita Modular can tailor the layout and specifications to meet the unique needs of podcasters and YouTube creators.
This contemporary design was created for a successful podcaster, prioritising the room's acoustics—a critical factor for professional recording. A purpose-built garden room offers an advantage over adapting existing spaces: the ability to incorporate ideal soundproofing without compromise.
Vita Modular's standard designs feature a multi-layer construction that meets Building Regulation insulation standards. For this project, they added extra layers to enhance the room's acoustic performance.
The acoustic upgrades included acoustic insulation and multiple layers of acoustic plasterboard. The interior was then plastered and decorated, resulting in a modern, professional studio.
Natural Light Meets Soundproofing
The studio features a stunning corner of floor-to-ceiling glazing, creating a naturally light-filled space while maintaining a connection with the garden. While glazing is often minimised in soundproof studios due to its potential for sound leakage, Vita Modular addressed this challenge with triple-glazing technology.
Triple glazing is a premium option that few garden room designers offer due to its cost. Vita Modular’s use of this feature demonstrates their commitment to balancing aesthetics, functionality, and performance.
Striking Exterior Form
The client chose the Shades in Stone finish from Vita Modular's cladding options—a low-maintenance, thermally efficient choice that also adds another layer of acoustic insulation. The cladding is available in four stone-coloured shades and two texture types: fine-cut grain and pitted finish.
