At The Garden Room Guide, we’ve encountered countless stunning garden room designs over the past 15+ years. Yet, this project by Miniature Manors easily earns a place in our all-time top three.
The pitched roofline immediately captured our attention. It adds architectural elegance to the exterior while creating a vaulted ceiling inside, offering both style and practicality. The additional height provides ample space for gym equipment, ensuring it can be used comfortably and effectively.
A Striking Material Palette
The material choices in this project exude sophistication. Externally, black corrugated metal cladding delivers a sleek, modern aesthetic. Internally, Birch plywood creates a warm and minimalist contrast. These materials are masterfully crafted, highlighting the skill and attention to detail of the Miniature Manors team.
A Customer-Driven Vision
Miniature Manors revealed that their client, a creatively minded homeowner, envisioned a two-roomed garden building to serve as both a home office and a gym. The exterior reflects a traditional barn-inspired design, while the interior blends Japanese and Scandinavian influences for a stylish, functional space.
This project exemplifies Miniature Manors’ bespoke approach. Whether crafting a contemporary Cedar-clad studio or a characterful Tudor-style garden room, they tailor each design to suit their clients’ aspirations.
The office space includes a discreet W.C., with the plywood detailing carried seamlessly into this compact area—a testament to the meticulous detailing that defines this project.
A Barn-Style Layout
Measuring 12 metres by 4.2 metres, the garden building is thoughtfully arranged with two rooms on either side of a central covered walkway. Open at both ends, this walkway mirrors a traditional barn’s design, framing lovely garden views.
Aluminium-framed glass doors, colour-matched to the cladding, lead into each room. The walkway itself features beautiful Oak decking, but the true standout is the pitched roofline, where the corrugated metal detailing truly shines.
Miniature Manors predominantly serves clients in the South East of England, delivering bespoke designs that balance practicality and style.
