Bridge Garden Rooms offer an eye-catching range called the Ruthven garden room. This design combines lots of glass with a striking sliding Cedar sun screen, creating a modern, adaptable space that works harmoniously with natural light.

Innovative Sliding Cedar Screen

The Ruthven’s standout feature is its sliding Cedar screen, designed to offer a practical and stylish solution for controlling sunlight and enhancing privacy. Unlike traditional fixed sun screens, the Cedar screen on the Ruthven glides effortlessly across the front elevation, allowing users to position it as needed.

Crafted from thick Cedar sections, the screen beautifully contrasts with the dark grey aluminium fascias, giving the Ruthven a sophisticated look. As well as adding visual interest, the Cedar also boasts durability, naturally resisting rot and fungal damage over time.

Durable, Low-Maintenance Exterior Finishes

The Ruthven garden room’s exterior combines multiple low-maintenance materials, reducing upkeep while ensuring it retains its good looks for years. One side wall and the sliding screen are clad in natural Cedar, which, if left untreated, will develop a graceful silvery-grey patina with age.

On the other side, Bridge Garden Rooms has incorporated a composite wood cladding in a slatted profile, adding texture without demanding regular maintenance. This material retains its colour over time, negating the need for painting or staining. Finishing off the exterior, dark grey aluminium fascias provide a sleek, long-lasting frame that complements the timber elements.

Floor-to-Ceiling Glazing for an Expansive Feel

One of the Ruthven’s most attractive features is its floor-to-ceiling glazing, arranged in an L-shape that adds character and frames garden views perfectly. This extensive use of glass makes the interior feel bright and spacious, ideal for maximising natural light throughout the day.

Year-Round Comfort with SIPs Construction

Built using Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs), the Ruthven garden room delivers excellent thermal efficiency. This construction approach ensures the room remains cosy and comfortable all year, whether you’re looking for a peaceful retreat, a garden gym, or a home office.
