When our Lancashire based client first contacted Swift she had been using her own kitchen for her wedding cake business and her cake classes. She realised the business had started to take over her kitchen with there often being hundreds of delicate icing flowers, gently balancing and drying and taking up even more space! It came to the point where her husband was too scared to enter the cake baking zone in fear of breaking something.

The decision was made - it was time for a dedicated studio for the business, so the search for quotes began.

Martin from Swift made it very easy to choose them to carry out the works. He replied within a very short time to my enquiry and was approachable and professional instilling confidence in the company from this first conversation.

He supplied a detailed quote that we agreed and added some extras to, the process for the build was explained in writing in detail and a date was arranged to start the work.

The whole process after that progressed in an extremely organised manner. I was kept informed at every stage of what was happening and who was responsible for that stage.

The build was started on the designated day and I was introduced to the multitalented Ash ad Reece who would carry out the complete construction.

Everything went so smoothly, 3 weeks from start to finish. Ash and Reece worked tirelessly and kept me informed in detail at the end of every day of progress and the plan for the next day.“

The cake studio was designed to ultimately be a simple building to house everything that is needed to make her already successful business run smoother.

The bespoke 5.8 x 4.3 building was designed to fit neatly in the space our client had available in the garden. She required a multitude of electrical sockets, good lighting (Superior Collingwood lighting is standard on all Swift buildings), running water and a water heater. Another key feature was the climate control air conditioning unit, to give her a completely stable environment to create those edible masterpieces from.

The new studio has given our client a completely separate professional baking space from which she can create her incredible wedding cakes and celebration cakes, as well as a private, luxurious teaching space.

My studio is amazing. It looks beautiful and the workmanship, materials and fixtures and fittings are superb quality. I could not be happier with the studio, it is even better than I imagined.
