Tired of paying rent on office space, a Timeless Garden Rooms customer chose to transform their garden into a spacious, modern home office.
The customer wanted a painted exterior finish to complement existing garden structures and evoke the charm of local beach huts. Timeless Garden Rooms specialise in crafting painted garden offices, utilising premium exterior paint finishes by Farrow & Ball.
Permitted Development-Friendly Design
The client sought a garden office that complied with Permitted Development rights. Timeless Garden Rooms are experts in designing buildings within these regulations.
Their solution was a 6m wide by 3m deep structure with a height of 2.5m. Inside, partition walls were used to create a cloakroom with a toilet. Outside the cloakroom, a small recess features a sink and worktop, allowing the client to prepare drinks without needing to return to the house.
The Timeless team managed all aspects of the project, including groundworks and connections to the mains supply for the toilet and sink—a service not all garden room companies provide. This all-in-one approach ensured a seamless experience for the customer.
Groundworks involved trenching through existing crazy paving. The Timeless team meticulously restored the paving after backfilling the trenches, maintaining the garden's aesthetic.
To personalise the project further, the customer requested a 6-inch slate border around the office and a bespoke step at the entrance. Timeless Garden Rooms delivered these finishing touches with precision and care.
A Light and Modern Workspace
The interior walls were spray-painted in a muted Farrow & Ball shade, creating a contemporary and inviting atmosphere.
Maximising natural light was a priority in the design. Large casement windows combined with wide French doors ensure the office is bright and energising—perfect for a productive workspace.
