The Swift team were recently commissioned to create an outdoor office space for the owner of a video marketing business. A modern, professional workspace was wanted where clients could visit.

Swift start their projects with a free site visit. This is perhaps the most important stage in the buying process. It allows the designers the opportunity to obtain an understanding of what the client wants to achieve and highlight their likes and dislikes. From the clients perspective, it will give you a feel of what it will be like to work with a company on what is a significant project.

A 5m x 5.5m outdoor office with shower room was decided upon. The design even includes a bespoke coffee bar.

Following the site visit, the Swift team submitted design options, specifications and prices for the project. Their client decided upon a 5m x 5.5m cedar clad outdoor office with dark grey aluminium bi-fold doors and windows. The roof extends beyond the front wall by 300mm creating a nice eaves detailing along the front elevation.

Partition walls have been used to section off one corner of the room. A compact shower room complete with corner shower, toilet and basin has been created. To maximise space, a pocket door has been fitted. Pocket doors area a clever and stylish solution. When open, the door slides discreetly into the wall structure.

Next to the shower room, a bespoke coffee station has been created. The Swift team are happy to design in custom feature requests like this. A sliding door has been fitted so the owner can access the coffee making facilities and the storage area alongside.
