The finished office occupies a 6.2m x 3.5m footprint, making the most of the available space.

The building is divided into two spaces: a bright, inviting office and a discreet storage room. The main office area features a glazed corner that frames the view of the newly landscaped garden, creating a pleasant working environment. To the right of the office, a hidden storage room is accessed through a sleek, grey panel door on the side wall, providing valuable storage without compromising the office’s aesthetic.
Wired for Connectivity and Year-Round Comfort
Executive Garden Rooms provides a comprehensive electrical package tailored to client needs. This includes ample power outlets, LED lighting, and a smoke detector for safety. Reliable internet access is ensured with CAT6 data cabling from the main house, providing a more stable connection than plug-in options. For climate control, the clients chose a Daikin air conditioning unit with Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing remote adjustments for a comfortable workspace in any season.
UV-Protected Cedar and Cedral Exterior
The exterior of the garden office is clad in Western Red Cedar, treated with UV-protective oil to maintain its natural colouring and prevent weathering. For the rear wall, which is less visible, Cedral fibre cement board was used, offering a durable, low-maintenance solution that resists rot and fading.
