This L-shaped garden room by Garden2Office is a highly versatile space. Occupying a footprint of 29 square metres, it has been thoughtfully divided to create an artist's studio, an additional living area, a bathroom, and a storage shed.
The project is a bespoke adaptation of Garden2Office's Sportskabin range, demonstrating their ability to craft non-rectangular structures. Notably, they can angle walls to make the most of an unusually shaped plot—an ability not all garden room providers can offer.
A Living Roof Means It Looks as Good from Above
Positioned close to a Victorian semi-detached house, this garden room offers a lovely view from above, thanks to its sedum living roof. This design choice is particularly clever, as homeowners often overlook how a garden room appears when viewed from upper storeys.
Stylish Interior Finishes
Garden2Office offers a selection of interior finishes. For this project, the owners selected tongue and groove panelling, painted in an elegant green. Combined with framed ledged and braced doors, this design evokes a cosy, country-style ambience.
In addition to glass doors, each room is fitted with a skylight. The natural light from the roof window enhances the room’s atmosphere and creates a delightful spot to relax and watch the clouds drift by.
A Self-contained Space with Cloakroom Facilities
The multifunctional design includes a cloakroom, making the garden room self-sufficient. While it may represent a larger initial investment, incorporating a bathroom significantly increases the space’s functionality and future-proofs its value.
