We have often said that garden room design and construction owes its origin to modern housebuilding, and this is particularly true with the designs offered by JML Garden Rooms.
JML Garden Rooms are based in Scotland and have been in the housebuilding industry for more than twenty years. For the last five years they have worked exclusively with Structural Insulated Panels (SIP’s) and are in fact the only Scottish manufacturer to have their own in house team of SIP’s engineers, designers and SIP processing unit – so they know what they are talking about!
With all of this in house expertise adding garden room designs to their product offering seemed an obvious step, and JML Garden Rooms now offer two design ranges the aptly named Highlander and Lowlander.
JML Garden Rooms explain why they use SIP’s for their garden rooms:
We build our JML Garden Rooms in SIPs allowing them to be sustainable, very thermal efficient and built to last. More importantly our garden rooms are perfect for all year round use which is esp beneficial in Scotland where the climate isn’t as mild. We are not interested in trying to produce a cheaper quality product and only use the best quality materials and most skilled workmanship so we can be confident that our clients are getting the best on the market.
The Highlander range is pitched roofed, and as you can see a light and airy room is created. The flat roofed Lowlander range has a very contemporary feel.
JML Garden Rooms are finished internally like any room in your house with plastered interior. The windows and doors are top quality triple glazed Rationel systems.
With a in-house manufacturing unit, lead times on garden rooms are very short at about five weeks this being the time it takes to make the bespoke doors and windows. During this lead time jobs such as site clearance can be undertaken.
JML Garden Rooms are a good addition to the market, and we are sure will particularly appeal to readers based in Scotland.
