The booming staycation market is making many families with a bit of extra space in their garden think of adding a self-contained annexe that they can rent out as a holiday lodge.
JML Garden Rooms recently built this two-bedroom annexe for customers in St Andrews. Their clients saw the potential to take down an old garage and replace it with a highly insulated, high spec annexe, where they could host family and rent it out to holidaymakers to generate some extra income.
Before approaching JML Garden Rooms, JML's clients had already had an architect draw up the plans for the 44sqm annexe. However, the JML team could have handled this aspect as part of their turnkey service as they have an in-house design team to create bespoke designs for clients and the ability to handle the planning process should this be required.
As we can see from these images, a stylish high-spec holiday lodge has been created. The arrangement of the rooms is an efficient use of space that allows for two double bedrooms.
