We are a fickle bunch here at The Garden Room Guide; we have fallen in love with lots of garden room buildings over the last 13 years, but this project by Miniature Manors would make it into our all-time top three!
They had us when we first saw the pitched roofline, which adds such form to the exterior of a garden room and creates a beautiful vaulted ceiling inside. As we can see, the extra height offers the space needed for gym equipment to be used effectively.
The simplicity of the material palette also stands out. The use of black corrugated aluminium cladding externally and Birch plywood internally create a stylishly expensive look. Both materials have been beautifully detailed by the Miniature Manors team.
A customer with creative vision
Miniature Manors tell us that their customer is very creative and had a clear vision for their garden room. They wanted to create a two-roomed building that would serve as a home office and gym.
Miniature Manor's client had a vision for a traditional barn style building with an interior that echoed Japanese and Scandinavian designs.
As bespoke garden room designers, Miniature Manors will create a design that fits your unique requirements, whether a sleek Cedar clad building or something more traditional such as this mock Tudor garden room.
A w.c leads off the office space. It is lovely to see that the plywood detailing has been continued into this small space; it just shows the attention to detail that Miniature Manors and their client had for every detail in this project.
Barn style garden room
The building sits on a footprint of 12 meters by 4.2 meters. The two rooms are arranged on either side of a covered walkway. The walkway is open at both ends, echoing a traditional feature of a barn, with the openings framing views of the garden. Aluminium framed glass doors lead off this walkway into each of the rooms. These doors have been colour matched with the corrugated cladding.
The walkway features lovely Oak decking, but for us, it is when you look up and see the vaulted roofline and how the corrugated aluminium cladding has been detailed that's impressive.
Miniature Manors focus their work in the South East of England.
