Garden Spaces designed and built this stylish 4.5m x 3.45m bespoke soundproof studio for a client needing a music room and recording space in their garden. Designed to maximise space within three boundary fences, this studio is equipped with robust soundproofing features, including a multi-layer core structure, as well as acoustic doors and windows. These measures ensure the studio is well-insulated against external noise, making it ideal for recording and practice.
To further enhance soundproofing, Garden Spaces offers the option of an acoustic porch. This porch creates an additional buffer, preventing noise infiltration and sound escape. Entered via a glazed uPVC door in RAL 7016 (Anthracite Grey), the porch leads to a solid acoustic door, fitted with an acoustic drop-down seal, threshold seal, and perimeter seal for maximum sound isolation.
Adding an acoustic porch provides significant benefits for those needing a quiet, controlled recording space. This extra layer of insulation blocks out external noise, creating a barrier between the room and outside, essential for musicians and recording professionals.
Acoustic Double-Skinned Window
For this garden studio, Garden Spaces balanced the need for natural light with sound insulation by incorporating a double-skinned, double-glazed acoustic window. Condenserless Air Conditioning and Acoustic Ventilation

Additionally, a specialist acoustic vent was incorporated to provide ventilation, ensuring air flow without affecting the studio’s soundproofing.
Stylish, Durable Exterior Cladding
The exterior of this acoustic studio blends Western Red Cedar cladding on the front with cement particle boards on the other walls. The cement particle boards are finished in RAL 7016 resifine, matching the door and window frames for a unified look. The entryway features a composite decking step chosen to complement the studio’s Anthracite Grey accents.
