Garden rooms offer endless possibilities, and this project by Miniature Manors highlights one of the most entertaining uses. Their client envisioned a bespoke pub in their garden—a retreat for unwinding at the end of the day and hosting friends. The goal was to create the ultimate party space, blending seamlessly with the outdoors, usable year-round, and reflecting the seaside charm of Brighton.
4m x 3m Garden Room
Miniature Manors designed a 4m x 3m garden room, crafted to comply with Permitted Development rules thanks to its maximum height of 2.5m. It sits on a durable concrete slab foundation and features Celotex insulation, ensuring comfort throughout the seasons.
The exterior is clad in pressure-treated tongue-and-groove timber, which offers long-term protection against rot and fungal damage. For a touch of coastal character, the boards were painted in a vibrant blue, echoing Brighton’s seaside aesthetic.
Interior Features
Inside, the room has a well-specified finish, with plastered and decorated walls and ceiling, complemented by a wooden floor. The standout feature is the fully fitted drinks bar, complete with bar stools, delivering a true pub-like experience.
Whether it’s a cosy winter retreat or a lively summer venue, this garden pub combines style, function, and charm.
