Many garden room buyers seek to include a toilet in their building, creating an independent space separate from the main house. Connecting a traditional toilet to mains water and sewerage can be complex and costly, but cassette toilet systems offer a smart alternative. These systems avoid the need for extensive groundwork, significantly reducing installation costs.
Executive Garden Rooms have fitted a cassette toilet with an integrated tank and ceramic basin, similar to those used in caravans and motorhomes. The system includes indicators that signal when the tank needs emptying, and periodic topping up of chemicals is required per the manufacturer's guidance. While a bit of upkeep is needed, this approach is a clever, space-saving way to add conveniences to your garden building.
Thoughtful Design for Maximum Space
The cloakroom within this garden gym has been carefully positioned, occupying a corner of the room with an angled door to minimise its footprint. An access panel for the toilet cassette is subtly integrated into the wall design.
Spacious and Light-Filled Layout
This garden gym is 6.5 metres by 4.8 metres, providing ample space for workouts. The front elevation features French doors with floor-to-ceiling side-light windows, ensuring the gym is bathed in natural light and offers great views of the garden. A mirrored wall enhances this effect, reflecting light and garden scenery to create a sense of openness.
A remote-controlled electronic Velux roof light has been fitted to bring in even more daylight. Equipped with rain sensors, it closes automatically at the first sign of rain, adding convenience and protection.
Durable and Low-Maintenance Cladding
For the exterior, Executive Garden Rooms’ clients chose Cedral cladding. This cement-based material comes pre-coloured, boasts a fire rating of 0 for compliance with Building Regulations, and requires no ongoing maintenance. The cladding ensures that the building retains its colour and appearance for over a decade, providing a modern look that stays fresh.
Unlike natural Cedar cladding, which can age to a silver-grey over time, Cedral cladding maintains its original appearance, addressing a common concern among customers.
Comprehensive Electrical Package
This garden gym features a well-equipped electrical setup, including recessed LED downlights, an external security light, smoke detectors, and Cat6 data cabling for a reliable internet connection. An air conditioning unit is installed to provide efficient heating and cooling, offering greater energy efficiency than underfloor heating – another popular choice for garden rooms.
