Customisable Windows and Doors

In this project, the owner chose a combination of French doors paired with two tall, glazed windows on the front elevation. These double-glazed windows come equipped with trickle vents, creating a chic, contemporary facade. Additionally, a top-hung opening window was installed high on the left-hand wall, enhancing natural light and providing easy ventilation.
For added security, the doors are fitted with a reliable multi-point locking system.
Solid 44mm Walls for Insulation
The log cabin sits on a pressure-treated floor frame with polyurethane insulation integrated into the floor structure, topped with 19mm tongue and groove floorboards.
The 44mm thick walls are made of interlocking Spruce timbers, forming a robust and durable barrier. Thicker wall timbers contribute to better heat retention during colder months. While many standard cabins only offer 28mm thick timbers, opting for 44mm ensures enhanced thermal performance and structural integrity.
Polyurethane insulation is also included in the roof structure, with the internal ceiling formed from tongue and groove timbers. The roof is completed with an EPDM membrane, known for its long, maintenance-free lifespan and seamless installation that prevents leaks.
Pre-Painted Finishes
Garden Affairs provides the option of having the exterior, doors, and windows painted in their factory. This guarantees that the finish is applied under optimal conditions and saves you the task of painting before moving in.
A wide palette of contemporary RAL colours and wood stain options are available. For this project, the owner chose the Black/Grey finish, which adds a striking touch to the design.
