Mix and match cladding

Your choice of cladding for your garden room is one of the big design decisions. You not only have to think about its durability in protecting the core structure, but also its aesthetics.

With most garden room designs one cladding material is chosen for the whole building, but there is no reason why you can’t mix and match different finishes and colours.

This Office In My Garden build is a fine example of the look you can achieve with two different claddings. The cedar rain screen cladding contrasts strikingly with the stained black cladding.

The fact that the Office In My Garden team have also clad the door to the storage room in the rain screen cladding further enhances the look.

This building was designed as a home gym, but the clients also needed storage for bikes and garden tools. The building was designed to accommodate these very different needs under one roof.
