Swedish garden room design specialists Garden2Office have added a striking new design to their portfolio. Uppsala has several unique design features to admire.
The Uppsala garden room which can be sized to fit your garden and intended use, features a wrap-around veranda and canopy. This creates a halfway space between room and garden - a great place to sit with a drink!
The feature that has particularly caught our eye, is the way the two cladding materials have been mixed together. Western Red Cedar can be combined with corrugated galvanised steel. The steel is colour coated and available in a palette of different shades.
The Garden2Office team tell us the black and dark grey finishes are proving particularly popular. We can see why, it matches in with the door and window frames and creates a striking contrast with the Cedar.
We love the difference in textures the two materials create. You have the smooth planed Cedar and the wavy surface of the corrugated cladding. It's a great combination.
You can choose how the claddings are mixed together. Choosing which walls the Cedar and corrugated steel are used on. You can, as in this case, choose to clad the roof canopy in the steel.
Garden room with secret store
Look closely, and you will spot a secret door in the Cedar clad front wall. This leads to a small storage room. The Garden2Office team can easily incorporate storage like this into their designs. You can choose the size of storage area that works for you.
Highly insulated core structure
Garden2Office import the parts of their garden rooms from Sweden. The closed cassette building system is the same as used in Swedish house design. The highly insulated panels are coupled with triple glazed doors and windows to create buildings that are comfortable to use all year round.
Uppsala is an exciting new design. Prices start at £22,000 including installation. Garden2Office also offer their designs as DIY kits, if you feel like building it yourself!
