Crusoe Garden Rooms have recently completed this garden room in Durham which is solar powered. We haven’t featured many solar powered garden buildings on this site, so its nice to see how a good sized garden room can be powered by one small panel.
In this instance the customer supplied the solar panel and Crusoe Garden Rooms’ in-house electrician connected it to the garden room. The image below shows the lighting in the garden room which has been powered by the solar energy.
Crusoe Garden Rooms is a family run business. Lead craftsman Trev, has been joined in the business by his son Fred who is an apprentice. Because they are a family business with a team of in-house trades, they can tailor their garden rooms to the customers tastes – with features like solar power!

Marking our silver wedding anniversary with a new garden room was a big decision – any building project can end up being difficult and stressful and we didn’t want to spoil the occasion.

Wine o’clock with just the decking lights on and the garden sinking into darkness on a sunny summer evening underscored just how delighted we are with our Studio. This is exactly what we wanted: there’s no ‘window dressing’ of the website pictures, the finished product really is that good.
