Sanctum Garden Studios offer a lot of options for garden room buyers
Published: 16 January 2023
Sanctum Garden Studios offer their customers a lot of choice. They offer different styles of insulated garden room and options with different price tags. Based in Lancashire, they install their buildings throughout the UK.
The Sanctum Garden Studios range includes the Hampton, one of the best-priced insulated garden rooms available. The popular QuadPod range includes some of the smallest garden room options on the market. Then there is the Contemporary range, which offers many opportunities to personalise your building. Alongside these ranges, Sanctum Garden Studios provide a bespoke design service, perfect if you want to incorporate unique features into your garden room.
Sanctum Garden Studios offer transparent pricing on their website, so you can quickly get an idea of what your building might cost. Each of their buildings comes with its own foundation system, unlike some other companies.
Sanctum Garden Studios have the installation phase of the process down to a fine art. The Hampton and QuadPod range can be installed in just a day on-site. Once your electrician has connected the electrics to the house, you can start using your new room immediately.
Let's look at each of the Sanctum Garden Studios ranges:
The Hampton
The Hampton by Sanctum Garden Studios is one of the most cost-effective garden rooms on the market. The Hampton is available in three popular and versatile sizes:
- 2.4m x 2.4m costing £7,995 plus delivery
- 3m x 2.4m costing £8,995 plus delivery
- 3.6m x 2.4m costing £9,995 plus delivery
The Hampton is less than 2.5m high, so it is a Permitted Development friendly design. Sanctum Garden Studios have designed the Hampton so it can be positioned close to a boundary. When choosing the position, you will need to consider the space your electrician will require to connect the electrics to your house.
Fully insulated and double-glazed, the Hampton is designed for year-round use. Lighting and power sockets are pre-wired into one wall. You will just need your electrician to run a cable between your house and the external junction box on the Hampton.
The Hampton is a naturally light room thanks to the wall of floor-to-ceiling glazing. You can choose where the door is positioned within the glazing configuration.
The dark grey exterior finishes create a contemporary look. There is the option to add Cedar panels to one or both side elevations.
Sanctum Garden Studios offer options to personalise your Hampton building, each one clearly priced, so you know where you are:
- Option to add a full height opening window to front elevation or in the side wall (£750).
- Option to swap out the front elevation door for a fixed or opening window, adding the entrance to the side if you are unable to access the building from the front.
- Option to add an outside light (£100).
- Option to add Western Red Cedar panel to the right or left wall (£1,000).
- Option to add laminate flooring and skirting boards (£600)
- Option to add trunking behind skirting boards to allow for electrics to be in another wall (£100)

The QuadPod
The QuadPod range is a really popular range with readers of The Garden Room Guide, especially those looking for a small garden room. It comes in five standard sizes, with the latest, the QuadPod Super Micro being one of the smallest options on the market. The QuadPod stacks up price-wise compared with other garden room ranges of these sizes!
The QuadPod sizes are:
- QuadPod Super Micro 1.8m x 1.8m costing £9,995 plus delivery
- QuadPod Micro 2.4m x 1.8m costing £10,995 plus delivery
- QuadPod Mini 2.4m x 2.4m costing £11,995 plus delivery
- QuadPod Maxi 3m x 2.4m costing £12,995 plus delivery
- QuadPod Super Maxi 3.6m x 2.4m costing £13,995 plus delivery
The cubed shape of the QuadPod and the mix of Cedar and dark grey external finishes gives QuadPod a contemporary aesthetic. The front wall and door wall are clad in Western Red Cedar. The other two walls are finished in a grey weatherboard. Both are low-maintenance finishes.
You can choose between two styles of QuadPod: Office and Studio. The QuadPod Office features an opening horizontal window positioned at desk height. With the QuadPod Studio, a full-height picture window is positioned on the front elevation.
You can choose if the entrance door is positioned on the left-hand or right-hand wall.
Inside, the QuadPod features a laminate floor with white skirting boards. The walls are smooth MDF which you can paint or leave bare.
The QuadPod is pre-wired with lights and electrical sockets. You need to ask your electrician to run a cable from your house to the exterior junction box on the QuadPod.
To personalise your QuadPod, you could choose to add the following:
- Option to add Western Red Cedar to the other side wall (£1,000)
- Option to add exterior lighting (£100)

The Contemporary
If you want more flexibility over your garden room's size, layout and features, then the Contemporary range is the one to explore.
Sanctum Garden Studios offer their Contemporary range in Cubed and Overhang styles. The eaves detail on the Overhang option is 200mm deep.
The Contemporary range is available in a wide range of sizes from 2.4m x 2.4m, which costs £13,995, up to 9m x 3.5m which costs £31,995. If the standard sizes on offer don't fit the bill for you, Sanctum Garden Studios can build a custom-sized room. In this circumstance, they charge the next standard size up, so you can see what it would cost by looking at the price guide on their website.
As standard, the Contemporary range comes in under 2.5m high, so you have maximum flexibility when positioning your garden room under the Permitted Development rules. Sanctum Garden Studios can create taller buildings if required.
The front elevation of the Contemporary range is clad in Western Red Cedar, with the other walls finished in tanalised Redwood. There is the option to swap the Redwood for Cedar at the cost of £1,000 per side.
Sanctum Garden Studios have recently added the option of swapping the timber cladding for composite cladding. The price for the composite finish is the same as the standard Cedar and Redwood specification. If you would like to learn more about this new finish, send them an email: info@sanctumgardenstudios.com
As standard, the interior walls are finished with white melamine boards, which create a light modern room, but there is the option to upgrade to a plasterboarded finish or a fully plastered and decorated finish if you prefer. Sanctum Garden Studios offer a palette of laminate flooring colours to choose from.
The Contemporary range comes pre-wired with interior lighting and power sockets. You can choose where the sockets and lights are positioned. Once the room is completed, you would get your electrician to run the cabling between your house and the new room.
Sanctum Garden Studios offer an extensive range of options to personalise your Contemporary studio. They include:
- Air Source Heat Pump
- Underfloor Heating
- Slimline Heater
- Outside light
- Additional sockets
- Ethernet socket
- USB socket
- Inset ceiling lights (Cubed Studio only)
- Sedum roof (Cubed Studio only)
