Executive Garden Rooms have recently completed this large 7m x 4m garden room in Gloucester. The Executive team worked closely with their clients to create a space that can have multiple uses for the whole family to enjoy. The main space is to be used as a home gym and there is also a kitchenette and shower room meaning the new room is self contained.
Executive Garden Rooms build their buildings on top of a concrete slab foundation. With this build the concrete has been reinforced to create a very solid base. This is an important design consideration when building a garden home gym as gym equipment can be very heavy.
This garden room is fully Building Regulation compliant and was signed off by the Building Control department meaning the customer has all the relevant certification which is important when you come to sell your house. The garden room is sited within 1 meter of the boundary. To enable this the building has been clad externally in Cedral weatherboard which is Building Regulation compliant, it comes in several colours, in this case a dark oak colour.
Unusually for a garden room this building has a central heating and water system. The system is run off LPG which is an efficient option compared with electric heating. The garden room features 140mm of insulation in the walls – this is a lot! This has been chosen to ensure running costs are minimal.
All Executive Garden Rooms are well specified electrically and this one is no exception with 10 x double power sockets, 21 LED downlight a smoke alarm and external power point.
As we mentioned earlier this garden room features a kitchenette area and a shower room which includes a Mira shower, vanity unit and toilet. The shower room is fully tiled.
The project took the Executive Garden Rooms team 4 weeks to build.
