Since Crusoe Garden Rooms Limited was established back in 2013, we have built many music studios throughout the UK.
As a musician, band member and recording artist myself, with publishing and recording deals (in a previous life!), it is not surprising that as a company we have gravitated towards and have a good reputation for building affordable soundproofed home recording and music studios.
Whether a full-blown professional home recording studio set up with a high level of soundproofing and acoustic specifications, or a practice and teaching room with a good level of acoustic and sound block insulation and boarding, we can offer you expert advice to make sure your needs are completely met.
Our team have a wealth of experience in building garden rooms, along side this we have also built up long-standing relationships with professional companies offering all the extras your studio may require.
All of our buildings are bespoke and built from raw materials on-site. A typical studio build will normally take around ten to fourteen days to complete depending on the size and your requirements.
We include an electrical connection to your supply with lighting and sockets also where required.
Crusoe have had the pleasure of building for many talented musicians, producers, schools and colleges, care homes and government-financed projects, songwriters and home recording artists over the years including several chart-topping band members.
Due to the selection and type of materials used, a combination that we have developed and tweaked since starting our company back in 2013, we can create a perfectly adapted soundproofed building.
For example, using cedar cladding on the exterior to give a long-lasting beautiful looking building with its very own built-in preservative qualities and with a minimum wall thickness of 120mm, with a 100mm sound-deadening insulating quilt between the timber stud walls and then covered with a layer of Tech Sound 100 rubber membrane and a layer of 12mm sound block plasterboard.
Being a combination of musician and full-time carpenter and project manager has proved useful in understanding the needs and requirements of our customers, particularly with musicians, studio engineers and producers who require specific builds to accommodate their needs and also if, like us, our client’s family has an enthusiastic musician in the family.
We have also designed with our clients film and video editing suites as well as dedicated home cinemas and music studios with all the provisions for extras they have required including electric blinds, drop-down screens and projectors, integrated lighting and speaker systems. Air conditioning, off-grid solar panels and living roof installations have
all featured in some of our installations.
Of course, people require soundproofed garden studios for many reasons including quiet spaces like yoga or meditation rooms, home cinemas and even an office space backing on to a train line at the bottom of the garden or next to a busy street.
