This is a very busy period for Executive Garden Rooms and over the next few days we will showcase three of their recent builds, today we take a look at a garden music room that Executive Garden Rooms have just completed.
A superb 6m x 4m music room built in Surrey now gives the client a dedicated space for playing and recording live music without disturbing family and neighbours.
Soundproof Garden Music Room
When buying a garden room as a music room it is important to find a supplier who will adapt their standard specification to incorporate acoustic insulation, this takes in-depth knowledge of how sound transfers through a building, which Executive Garden Rooms clearly have.
The music room is highly insulated giving excellent soundproofing and acoustic performance, resilient bar allows the wall and ceiling to be de-coupled from the vibrating surface, which reduces both vibration and impact noise penetration.
Underfloor heating ensures the room maintains a controlled temperature all year round, this is particularly important when storing musical instruments.
Garden Rooms and Building Regulations
Building regulations state that if the building is within 1 meter of the boundary and over 15sqm in size it must be constructed of substantially non-combustible materials therefore Executive Garden Rooms had to make a change to their standard build specification, hence the back, left and right hand sides of the building were finished with sand & cement render rather than western red cedar.
This build took 4 weeks for Executive Garden Rooms to complete.
So, if you are looking for a garden music room talk to Executive Garden Rooms, and check back later this week to see more of their recent builds.
