Swift Unlimited completed an exceptional bespoke garden room for a West Peckham client, designed as the ultimate retirement indulgence. Combining the timeless charm of a traditional snooker hall with the convenience and luxury of modern living, this project was tailored to deliver both relaxation and entertainment in equal measure.
From the initial concept to the final build, every aspect of this project reflected the client’s vision, resulting in a unique and elegant space that exceeded expectations. Featuring a full-sized snooker table, a custom-designed bar, and a stunning wraparound decking area, this garden room offers a luxurious retreat set against a beautiful woodland backdrop.
Here’s how Swift Unlimited transformed a retirement dream into reality.
Precision in Design and Build
The 9 x 5.5m building needed to meet exacting requirements, including housing a full-size snooker table (12 x 6 feet) alongside a bar area designed for entertaining. To support the weight of the authentic table, the flooring was reinforced to ensure durability.
Taking the indoor-outdoor entertainment experience further, the client chose to include a 2m wraparound decking area crafted from high-quality composite materials.
One standout design feature was a triangular glazed element, paying homage to the snooker triangle. This unique feature complemented the two sets of premium powder-coated aluminium bifold doors, which seamlessly opened to create a stunning corner view of the surrounding woodland.
Elevated Luxury and Comfort
Every element of this bespoke garden room was tailored for comfort and luxury:
- Reinforced Walls: Designed to support the bar, television and key equipment.
- Sloping Roof with Vaulted Ceiling: A feature effect that enhanced the space while accommodating large overhead roof lights.
- Air Conditioning: Ensuring precise control of temperature, humidity, and air quality.
Standard in all Swift Unlimited builds, brushed chrome sockets and switches added an extra touch of sophistication.
The exterior was finished in Western Red Cedar cladding, perfectly complementing the design’s refined details and natural surroundings.
From Vision to Reality
After over six weeks of planning and collaboration, the build was completed in just four weeks. The final result was a bespoke snooker room that exceeded the client’s expectations, leaving him thrilled with his new personal retreat—a space where every detail was carefully considered and expertly crafted.
