3rdSpace – a new era in garden room design

We’re moving into a new era of garden room design, first all buildings looked like glorified sheds, then they became scaled down houses and now we’re finding architecturally striking garden rooms becoming available and a new range called 3rdSpace looks set to join this new trend.

We can see from these renderings that less is more with this new range and the combination of slick cladding and frameless glass looks very exciting.

Ben Jardine from 3rdSpace explains the concept:

3rdSpace garden room is the latest product by Sawhorse Limited, a design & fabrication company based in Oxfordshire. The design of 3rdSpace is based on a modular post & beam system, of solid Douglas fir – allowing various sizes and configurations based on one kit-of-parts. Standard wall panel options are full-height double glazed windows or insulated timber panels – with various choices of internal finish and external cladding. This gives customers the opportunity to design their garden room according to their needs.

The smallest available is based on a 2.4m x 2.4m footprint, and sizes extend by 1.2m wide modules.

The system also means you can reconfigure, extend or dismantle and relocate easily.

Available from February 2011.

We believe that 3rdSpace will be an exciting addition to the garden room market.
