This garden office, designed by Executive Garden Rooms, was tailored for a homeworking couple and even includes a dedicated spot for their dog, who enjoys basking in the light from the feature window.
Good Working Light
The office features a wrap-around corner window and door configuration that floods the space with natural light, ensuring both desks receive excellent working light. Unlike many designs that use fixed windows in this arrangement, the clients chose to install an opening window. Although more costly than a fixed option, this provides added flexibility for ventilation, offering a choice beyond just opening the doors.
Additionally, a small, desk-height window has been included. This can be easily pushed open to let in fresh air.
Sleek and Low-Maintenance Exterior
The garden office features a crisp, rendered exterior finish. Executive Garden Rooms are among the few companies specialising in rendered garden offices. This low-maintenance option adds a contemporary look but requires skill to apply correctly, making it a service typically offered by specialists.
The smart white render is complemented by dark grey Cedral boards on the fascia and soffits. Cedral, a durable cement fibre board, is pre-coloured and maintenance-free, eliminating the need for painting. The dark grey pairs perfectly with the grey uPVC frames of the doors and windows, creating a cohesive and modern look.
