Industrial-Styled Garden Office and Music Room by Garden2Office

A few weeks ago, we featured this striking garden office and music room by Garden2Office, noting how the angled canopy detail gives the exterior such a distinctive form. Garden2Office has since shared new images on Instagram, revealing how the owner has styled the interior — and it’s every bit as impressive as the exterior.
OSB Interior Creates an Industrial Feel
Rather than opting for a plastered and painted interior, the client chose to line the walls and ceiling with OSB (Oriented Strand Board). OSB is made by compressing layers of timber strands with adhesive to form durable and stable sheets, often used in structural applications. Here, it has been left exposed, creating a pared-back, industrial aesthetic that feels contemporary and creative — perfectly suited to a dual-purpose workspace and music room.
Working with Garden2Office is a collaborative process, allowing clients to specify the materials and finishes that reflect their style. This project shows how alternative interior choices can completely transform the character of a garden room, creating a space that feels raw, textured, and full of personality.
Stylish Lighting and Detailing
The owner has continued the industrial theme with surface-mounted electrics, using a metal conduit system instead of the more common white plastic trunking. Combined with track spotlights and vertical tube lights positioned on the walls, the result is a room with genuine atmosphere and design flair — proof that practical details can also become part of the aesthetic.
Stylish Slot Window
One of our favourite features is the slot window positioned high above the desk. The frameless glazing offers a subtle glimpse of the trees beyond while maintaining privacy. High, narrow windows like this are a great design solution for garden rooms positioned close to a boundary — they invite in natural light without overlooking neighbouring spaces.
A Space Designed for Work and Music
At the opposite end of the building, the wall has been fitted with slatted acoustic panels, which enhance both the look and sound quality of the space. The result is a balanced multi-use environment — calm and inspiring for work, yet acoustically tuned for music.
As with all Garden2Office projects, the room has been built using their highly insulated Swedish panel system, ensuring year-round comfort and excellent acoustic separation from the surrounding garden.
