Good Looking Roof
The clients chose to position their studio close to the house, making an attractive roofline a key consideration. The Malmö features a seamed metal roof system, specially imported from Sweden. These high-specification sheets are lightweight, highly durable, and available in a range of colours. The clients' selection of dark grey pairs beautifully with the Thermowood cladding, achieving a sleek, cohesive look.
Clever Window Configuration
This Pilates studio is bathed in natural light without the use of floor-to-ceiling glazing, which is common in many garden studio designs. By collaborating closely with their clients, the Garden2Office team crafted a unique window configuration that allows light to flood in while preserving clear wall space for equipment and ensuring privacy for Pilates sessions.
The design features a glazed door and tall, narrow windows that offer nice views of the garden. The standout feature, however, is the combination of roof skylights and triangular gable-end windows that infuse the room with sunlight. This high-level glazing adds distinctive character to the studio.
