The booming staycation market is prompting many families with some extra garden space to consider adding a self-contained annexe that can be rented out as a holiday lodge.
JML Garden Rooms built this two-bedroom annexe for clients in St Andrews. Their customers recognised the potential to replace an old garage with a highly insulated, high-spec annexe, allowing them to host family and rent it out to holidaymakers, generating additional income.
Before contacting JML Garden Rooms, the clients had already worked with an architect to draw up plans for the 44 sqm annexe. However, JML could have managed this stage as part of their turnkey service, as they have an in-house design team to create bespoke designs and can handle the planning process if required.
As shown in these images, the result is a stylish, high-spec holiday lodge. The layout makes efficient use of space, allowing for two double bedrooms.
