A Tailored Modular Garden Room
The building is an example of the G1 range by Green Retreats, which is distinguished by its extended roofline on all sides. In this case, the owners have chosen a central sitting room flanked by two discreet storage rooms, each with its own lockable external access. It’s a clever use of the generous 8m width, with the floorplan divided using internal partition walls – one of many ways Green Retreats can adapt your space during the design phase.
A Stylish Exterior
A set of sliding doors sits at the centre of the front elevation, offering direct access to the main room and framed by two small opening windows. The repetition of matching door and window styles, combined with a consistent palette of cladding and detailing, creates a pleasing rhythm across the façade.
The storeroom doors are multi-point locking uPVC, finished with timber infill panels that match the main cladding – helping them blend in seamlessly with the rest of the building.
Green Retreats offer the G1 range with three colour packs for the fascias and front step – graphite, black or natural. The exterior is clad in Scandinavian Redwood as standard, with upgrades available to Honey Redwood, Western Red Cedar, or Composite cladding. Exterior lighting is included as standard to complete the look.
Light-Filled Interior
Inside, the building features Green Retreats’ white Melamine wall finish, which has a soft sheen and is UV-protected to resist yellowing over time. It provides a fresh, neutral backdrop that suits a wide range of interior styles.
Here, the owners have furnished the room with colourful upholstery and a contemporary slatted feature wall, adding warmth and personality to the space. While many buyers opt for venetian-style blinds, this garden room features long curtains and fabric blinds, softening the look and creating a comfortable, inviting feel.
Year-Round Comfort
As standard, Green Retreats include internal lighting, three double power sockets, and a wall-mounted heater in the G1. There are also options to upgrade to underfloor heating, air conditioning, and additional sockets or lighting if required.
