A Bespoke Solution from Miniature Manors
Miniature Manors were tasked with creating a 5m x 3m building that combined a functional studio space with a dedicated storage area for business supplies. The design needed to reflect elements of the main house, including the window finishes, while maintaining a sleek, modern aesthetic.
The result was a carefully crafted garden room clad in beautiful Western Red Cedar. Both the external storage area and main studio feature cleverly concealed doors clad in the same Cedar, blending seamlessly into the structure. A secondary “secret” door provides additional access to the main studio, reducing reliance on the sliding doors.
Contemporary Design with Practical Features
The main studio boasts a glazed corner with grey aluminium sliding doors and a full-length window. These match the style of the main house and create a striking contrast against the warm Cedar cladding.
To enhance its eco-friendly appeal, the building is topped with a living sedum roof. This feature not only adds visual interest but also restores greenery that would otherwise be lost, offering a beautiful view from above.
Inside, the studio feels bright and modern, with plastered and decorated walls, a laminate floor, and the finish of a room in a newly built home. The result is a professional yet welcoming space, perfect for a beauty business.
