When it comes to designing garden offices, the team at Miniature Manors is committed to crafting spaces that are as unique as their clients. With a bespoke design service, they create structures that harmonise with their surroundings and meet the specific needs of each client. This recent project, a garden office nestled in the Sussex countryside, embodies this approach perfectly. This garden office incorporates a living roof covering and an artificial green wall, making it an integral part of the garden rather than just an addition to it.
Designed to Blend with its Countryside Setting
Living in the Sussex countryside, the client envisioned a garden office that would complement their natural surroundings. Rising to this challenge, Miniature Manors skilfully incorporated two visually striking features - a sedum roof covering and an artificial green wall.
The sedum roof is not just an environmental asset but also a practical one. It serves as an effective insulating layer, aiding in temperature regulation throughout the year, absorbs rainwater to reduce water runoff, and provides a habitat for insects, thus promoting biodiversity.
On the right-hand side of the office, an artificial green wall further enhances the aesthetic appeal. This feature, which Miniature Manors have successfully used in past projects, provides a touch of green throughout the year, adding life and colour to the structure.
Miniature Manors are Designed for Comfortable Year-Round Use
A paramount consideration when buying a garden office is ensuring its year-round comfort and functionality. Miniature Manors utilise a multi-layer insulated timber frame structure that keeps the office warm in winter and cool in summer.
They offer a range of cladding options, from low-maintenance timbers such as Western Red Cedar to composite cladding, allowing for customisation to suit individual preferences and requirements.
Miniature Manors offer a choice of doors and windows styles which can be configured as you wish. In this case, acoustic glazing was incorporated into the sliding doors to enhance the sound quality within the workspace.
Inside, the garden office sports a plastered and decorated finish complemented by laminate flooring, creating a light and modern workspace.
