This example, built for a family in Dorset, measures 6 metres wide by 3.6 metres deep. The clients wanted to create an en-suite bedroom for when their children and grandchildren came to stay, allowing them to be together as a family while maintaining everyone’s privacy and space.
Turnkey Project

Part of their turnkey service includes managing the planning permission and building control approval process. Any garden bedroom needs both planning and building control approval to be compliant.
The spacious bedroom accommodates a double bed, storage, and a sofa bed for the grandchildren. The room feels light and airy, thanks to a combination of white walls, ceiling, and laminate wooden flooring. A bespoke wrap-around glazing section on the front wall enhances the design. This glazing incorporates French doors and floor-to-ceiling windows, with narrow windows wrapping around the corner, adding an interesting touch. Blinds have been fitted to allow guests to control both light and privacy levels.
Spacious Shower Room
A spacious shower room adjoins the bedroom, featuring a Mira shower, toilet, vanity unit, and towel rail. The floor has been tiled with porcelain tiles, adding to the room’s quality finish.
As part of their turnkey service, Executive Garden Rooms handled the necessary groundworks to connect the water, waste, and electricity supplies. They also worked with the local Building Control department to ensure all work was approved and signed off.
The garden bedroom is designed to be comfortable year-round, with 90mm of insulation in the floor, 140mm in the walls, and 100mm in the roof structure.
