Cedar Cladding and Glazing Mix
The Crusoe Classic garden room features vertical Western Red Cedar cladding, a hallmark of modern garden room aesthetics. The rich, warm tones of the Cedar contrast beautifully with the surrounding landscape, creating a timeless, yet modern look. This design also incorporates a wide expanse of floor-to-ceiling glazing across the front, which flows seamlessly onto a decked veranda. The 1.5m deep veranda extends the indoor space outdoors, making it ideal for relaxing, entertaining, or simply enjoying the view.
This example measures 6m wide by 3.5m deep, providing ample space for a home office, studio, or relaxation room while maintaining a compact footprint.
Anthracite Grey Doors and Windows
Central to the front elevation, a pair of sliding doors is framed by full-height fixed glass panels on either side, enhancing the room’s open feel. The Anthracite Grey uPVC frames offer both durability and low maintenance, providing a striking contrast against the reddish tones of the Cedar cladding. A tall fixed-pane window on the side elevation brings additional light, ensuring the interior remains bright and inviting.
Inside, the door and window frames are finished in white, helping to reflect natural light and contribute to the room’s airy atmosphere. The double glazing includes Pilkington K glass, a high-performance option for energy efficiency, ensuring the space remains comfortable year-round.
Light, Modern Interior
The Crusoe Classic interior is a statement of modern simplicity. The plasterboarded and skimmed walls and ceiling have a painted finish, adding to the open and light feel. The floor is finished with durable laminate, chosen in a light tone that complements the room’s modern aesthetic. Installed over an underfloor heating system, making the garden room suitable for use in every season.
Built in Two Weeks
The Crusoe team completed the on-site build of this garden room in just two weeks, which included laying the foundation.
The team handled every aspect of the construction, from erecting the timber framework to installing electrics and completing the final decoration.
