A recent customer survey from Crane Garden Buildings highlights how these handcrafted garden rooms have become an integral part of everyday living. Of the 281 Crane customers who took part, an impressive 83 per cent said they use their garden building every week, all year round — showing how garden buildings have evolved from utility or storage spaces to become an extension of everyday living.
Once thought of as somewhere to store garden tools or spend the odd summer afternoon, today’s garden buildings are being used for work, wellbeing, creativity and relaxation throughout the year. Owners describe them as “a haven of peace away from the house” and “the best thing we ever did – it is used every day!”
A True Extension of the Home
Crane’s survey findings reflect a growing trend to make full use of our homes and gardens whatever the season. The company’s CEO, Russell Atkinson, commented:
With 83 per cent of customers stepping into their garden building weekly, no matter the season, it highlights their value as a true extension of the home. They are spaces for work, creativity, relaxation and family time – places that genuinely enhance quality of life.”
