Creating a fully insulated garden room alongside a swimming pool is a popular choice these days, providing an ideal space to change, relax, and enjoy privacy after a swim. Garden rooms are also highly functional, offering a dedicated area to house essential pool equipment.
With the expertise of a garden room designer, a single, well-planned building can seamlessly serve multiple purposes. This contemporary pool and plant room by Garden Spaces demonstrates how a versatile and stylish garden building can be achieved.
A Multi-Functional Retreat
Garden Spaces' client aimed to create a flexible space that would serve as a leisure retreat, changing area, and essential plant room, all within one roof. The design team crafted a garden room featuring a substantial section of wrap-around glazing, allowing abundant natural light while maintaining a strong connection with the surrounding landscaped garden. A spacious deck at the front offers an additional area to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
Thoughtful, Space-Saving Design
The room includes a compact WC that incorporates a space-saving toilet cistern with a small washbasin above—a practical solution that maximises the usable space.
An internal door connects the main room to the plant room, where the essential pool heating and pumping equipment is stored. This well-organised space allows for easy access and maintenance, with the OSB finish of the SIPs panels left exposed for practicality and durability.
High-Quality Finishes
Garden Spaces finishes their interiors to a high specification. The walls and ceiling are plastered and decorated, and the floors are laid with laminate. The building is fully wired, featuring LED downlights and ample double power sockets to meet modern needs.
